The latest "WHO PIDM in Focus" film highlights the collaboration between WHO, UMC, and Colombia in the development of medicines and vaccines safety in the country.

The Instituto Nacional de Vigilancia de Medicamentos y Alimentos (INVIMA), Colombia’s National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance, began using VigiFlow as their national database in 2019, which allowed them to collect AEFI reports throughout the COVID-19 pandemic along with ADR reports. VigiFlow has now been rolled out throughout the Colombian healthcare system, with users in national and district hospitals and clinics.

INVIMA have been making use of other VigiFlow reporting tools UMC provides to PIDM members to widen their coverage and collect more safety data as well, such as VigiFlow eReporting for Industry and digital reporting forms for HCPs and patients. The mandating of WHODrug for industry by INVIMA further strengthens the safety of medicines and vaccines in the country. Watch the full film to find out more.
